Podcasts for Little Kids

I love listening to podcasts or audiobooks when I'm in the car driving. But when the kids are with me, my podcasts and audiobooks probably aren't interesting (or that suitable) for their ears.

So I've worked desperately to try and find some fun things that we can listen to in the car that they will like. That isn't Disney music on repeat.

I've found a few podcasts that grab their attention.

Circle Round: This might be my favorite of the group. The stories they tell aren't necessarily ones that you (or your kids) have heard a thousand times. The commonly run about 15 minutes or so - which for us is perfect for the drive to preschool. Plus the have print-out coloring pages to go with many of the stories, which is fun for the kids. One of our favorites: The Lion's Whisker

Stories Podcast: Another great story one. This has a good mix of new stories and classic favorites. If my kids say they want to hear a story like "Little Red Riding Hood" or "Three Little Pigs" I know that Stories Podcast probably has it. One of our favorites: The Three Little Pigs

Ear Snacks: Stories are great - but sometimes you need some music. I like Ear Snacks for 2 reasons. First, because the kids like it and second because I can find new totally kid-friendly music by checking out a new artist. One of our favorites: 2018 Kids Grammys

Brains On!: This is a fun podcast that covers all sorts of topics. I always find myself learning new things - plus it is awesome to see what little facts and tidbits the kids pick up on. One of our favorites: Dolphins vs. Octopuses: Showdown in the sea!

But Why: A Podcast for Curious Kids: Another one that teaches me about as much as it teaches the kids. Both kids like hearing other real kids ask the questions. And guessing answers. It's always a good time. One of our favorites: Do bumblebees have hearts?

Do you have a favorite podcast you listen to with your kiddos? If so, I'd love to hear about it.

{I’m probably linking this post up at one of the awesome link parties that are hosted by some amazing blogs. Check them out!}
