Local Holiday Gift Guide: the littles

I've done tons of gift guides in the past and this year I wanted to concentrate on something a little different. Shopping local. Or at least, Northern California local. I've seen such great stuff made by local artists that it's really about time I'm sharing these finds.

If you missed my earlier post (the grown-up version) be sure to check that out.

This is the recommendations for the little people in your lives.

Pitter Patterned - An awesome shop for organic, beautiful quilts for the littlest people on your list. I just LOVE the All The Stars quilt.

Ana Apple - This is a beautiful little shop in Old Sacramento that if you haven't checked out yet - I highly recommend.  You can find California love clothing - and adorable toys like the Octopus Rattles. So much good stuff. You can, of course, buy online too. She also does cool workshops through the Greenhouse.

Trumpette - This is really a nationwide brand - but it's roots are here in Sacramento and they have some great deals you can find at their storefront at 2020 I Street. If you're doing any midtown / downtown shopping trips - put this stop on your list. Love these Panda socks for kids!

The Little Lemon that Leapt - The book that says being weird is ok. It is written by a local author and well worth picking up for your kiddos.

MeshMash - Looking for a unique t-shirt for the kids? Check out these limited screen printed tees from MeshMash. I just LOVE the moon one. It's so ethereal. If you've got a bike loving adult on your list - check out their adult shirts too.

Bitte - This amazing online shop has some beautiful stuff for kids. And while the stuff isn't necessarily local - the shop is. I'm loving this Polar Playset. Check out all their finds.

Ok, that's just a handful. Looking for store fronts to check out too? Puddles, Koukla Kids and Art of Toys are great options. And there is always the gift of experiences too. Sacramento Zoo membership, Fairytale Town membership, Art Beast gift cards... the list could go on and on.
