Dyeing Easter Eggs with Toddlers

I stumbled upon this great way to dye eggs with the little kiddos. There are no cups of dyed water to spill, no trying to balance an egg on a little spoon... It's pretty mess free.

All you need is rice and food coloring.

Put about 1/4 cup rice in a plastic bag with 5 or so drops of food coloring. Then shake until the rice is coated in color.

Then add the egg - ziplock the bag - shake. And, hey presto! Dyed eggs.

Lucille loved it and I loved not having to clean a mess.

Give it a try.  We'll be doing it all month since we have till May 1 for Greek Easter. Gotta love getting to celebrate Easter twice.
